Latoya Reid's lived experience as a Black mother advocating for her son and for marginalized communities directly informed the founding of ReiSpace. After over 10 years of providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care through ReiDefine Wellness, she and co-founder Alric Reid saw the same gap everywhere: people who needed care most were the least likely to receive care that reflected who they are.
That gap is especially acute for Black, Indigenous, other racialized and marginalized communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ populations and language minorities such as the Francophone community. These are the communities ReiSpace was built to serve, not as an afterthought, but as the reason for its existence.
ReiSpace is a Black-owned, culturally grounded wellness platform. It was built not as an incremental improvement to existing programs, but as a fundamental reimagining of what wellness support looks like when it is designed by and for the communities it serves.
Every feature, every algorithm, every piece of content reflects a simple premise: wellness care should reflect who you are, not erase it.
